Ackerman mentions in “The Code Senders” how one of the
places that nerves are more concentrated is in the fingertips and palm of the
hand. This stood out to me because it reminded me of when I started to crochet and
I ran my hand along all the different selections of yarn, looking for one that
would feel good on the skin to wear. I decided to crochet an object out of
twine. I went outside and browsed other materials to add to it, similar to when
I would test the textures at the fabric store. The end result is a nest-like
object.
