For this painting I was inspired by the first section: “The
Feeling Bubble”. Here, the structure of the skin is explained, including its
life sequence. The functions of the skin were also examined; one of which is
to protect the flesh underneath, and our lives. This made me think about how in
many ways our whole lives are now contained within our phones. I decided to
illustrate the phone as similar to a human body with organs, and the phone
cases as skin to protect it in order to represent this idea.
